One night we were riding bikes from Newport, Kentucky across the river to Cincinnati, Ohio on the new Taylor bridge. John Adams was there. To make room for pedestrians he rode his bike all the way across the mile long bridge atop a 3-inch wide concrete divider. He did stop twice, however, in a trackstand to admire the view and take a drink of water from his bottle.

February 4th, 2010Wheelies
February 4th, 2010Once after a windstorm a group of us went to the trail to ride our bikes. The trail was littered with debris from the surrounding trees and vegetation. John Adams was there. Two wheels required too little thought so he rode a wheelie from Milford to Loveland and back on a road bike. At one point he had to clear a branch and later some squirrels tried to subvert him, but to no avail. Naturally, it was all we could do to stay in his slipstream at that rate and under those conditions.
